I set out to make you a video about my new 30 day self-love course, Body Love THRIVE, which runs this June 1-30th. I meticulously applied my makeup. I picked out a casual, yet sophisticated outfit. I sat down on my couch and started to recite all the words I had been practicing.
Then, I realized I was just another boring online personality on a couch talking words into a camera. It felt staged and fake and wayyyy too “perfect”.
So, I ditched all that and made you this instead. I think you’re going to like it.

I’ve worked 1-on-1 with women from all across the world – from the US to Malaysia – in making this choice. I’ve brought my body love programming to universities, yoga studios, youth groups, and National Eating Disorder Awareness events. Today is the day, however, that I step out from behind my writer’s curtain. Today is the day that my body love work goes beyond featured articles, 1-on-1 coaching, and special events. For the first time ever, my body love work is going global – becoming accessible to women all over the world, all at the same time, so that you have the opportunity to work, not only, with me to live life differently, but to harness the support of other women who stand where you stand – ready to learn to love their bodies and transform their lives in beautiful ways.

Today, we are making history.
In fact, in just a few moments I will lead you through the very first activity in the Body Love THRIVE course – to support you in learning to love your body whether or not you decide to participate in this history-making course.
But, before we get to that, there’s something I need you to know. There are a lot of misconceptions floating around about what self-love is – what if feels like, what it looks like – and who is deserving of it.
The truth is that you are magnificent, from head to toe, from heart to soul, you are a goddess worthy of love.
You have a sparkle inside of you that the world so desperately needs. By hiding, shying away, and trying to blend in you are doing the entire world a disservice. We need you to show up, to be bold, to be a confident goddess hell-bent on living the life she was always meant to live.
Loving your body is a prerequisite to living a life of joy. No if’s, and’s, or but’s.
I get it, loving your body can be tough. You’re tired of feeling uncomfortable in your body, as if you don’t belong. Exhausted. Depleted. Fed up. You’re ready to put an end to the madness and live blissfully in your body. And, the truth is that your body wants that too.
But, you don’t know where to start. You feel overwhelmed just thinking about the seemingly impossible task of learning to love your body. You search and search for answers, solutions, but nothing seems to help.
You see, we’re missing the mark. Body love and acceptance doesn’t come from the outside. Body love and acceptance comes from within. It’s gathering the tools and support and choosing every day to do the body love work.

Before you can live a thriving life of self-love you must recognize that you are worthy and deserving of love. Let it be known that simply because you are alive, you are worthy and deserving of love. Each and every one of us deserves to love our bodies. No exceptions.
Before you can live your life differently you need to take a moment to write yourself a permission slip. I need you to write, in your own beautiful words, something in the realm of:
Your Name, you have my permission to shamelessly love your body. Go ahead. Love it big. Love it exactly as it is. Let this love be radical and seemingly inexplicable. Get it girl.
